2019 VALA Diamond Award Recipients

The Virginia Assisted Living Association (VALA) recognizes assisted living providers who are the ‘sparkling gems of Virginia's assisted living industry' with the VALA Diamond Awards. There are three categories of the VALA Diamond Awards, and recipients will be recognized in a special video presentation during the luncheon ceremony at the Virginia Assisted Living Annual Fall Conference. We applaud each of the recipients for providing outstanding care on behalf of Virginia's assisted living industry!

Richmond, VA – The Virginia Assisted Living Association (VALA) hosted its annual Assisted Living Leadership Luncheon on October 23, 2019 during the Virginia Assisted Living Annual Fall Conference and congratulates Steve Wilkins as the recipient of the 2019 Assisted Living Administrator of the Year VALA Diamond Award. Award winners were nominated by their peers and supervisors and received recommendations from community residents and family members of residents they served. The Assisted Living Administrator of the Year VALA Diamond Award recognizes Administrators, Assistant Administrators, and Executive Directors in the assisted living industry who have demonstrated outstanding leadership through their dedication to the assisted living industry, to their staff, and to the residents and families they serve.https://www.valainfo.org/files/Award - Administrator 2019.pdf  

Richmond, VA – The Virginia Assisted Living Association (VALA) hosted its annual Assisted Living Leadership Luncheon on October 23, 2019 during the Virginia Assisted Living Annual Fall Conference and congratulates Manorhouse Assisted Living and Memory Care as the recipient of the 2019 Assisted Living Best Practices of the Year VALA Diamond Award for their “Pet Therapy” program. Award winners were nominated by staff of assisted living communities and received recommendations from community residents and family members of residents they served.
