The Virginia Assisted Living Association (VALA) hosts two (2) conferences a year for regional directors, owners, administrators, and direct care staff of assisted living communities from throughout Virginia. One conference is held in the spring, and one conference is held in the fall of each year. VALA also provides additional workshops throughout the year based on the assisted living industry's need for additional training.
VALA invites you to submit a proposal to speak at one of VALA's upcoming events. Presentations are selected by a program review committee and are evaluated on the timeliness of the topic, overall interest by conference attendees, a well-defined description, and relevance to the assisted living industry. We accept proposals throughout the year for upcoming conferences, so please specify if you desire to speak at a specific conference. Notifications of acceptance to speak will be sent out via e-mail upon approval.
ALL PRESENTATIONS MUST BE EDUCATIONAL AND NOT A SALES PITCH. NO SPECIFIC COMPANY, PRODUCT, OR SERVICE MAY BE ENDORSED IN THE PRESENTATION. Products or services expressed in the presentation must be generic and available through multiple companies or the governmement.
