Dr. Wilma Hunt-Watts is a licensed Podiatric Physician and Surgeon in the State of New York, a published contributing author and the founder of The Sole Doctor, where she provides telemedicine clinical services to patients. She is board certified in Podiatric Medicine and Wound Care with a specialization in the area of diabetes and dialysis. Her passion and focus is to use information technology and electronic communication to help people especially in at-risk communities to not only survive while living with diabetes, but learn how to thrive. As the daughter of an Army veteran, she proudly serves as a Telemedicine Ambassador consultant for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs in the Dept. of Surgery and has worked closely with the American Telemedicine Association on Capitol Hill for the advancement of telehealth legislation, policy and initiatives. In October 2019, Dr. Hunt-Watts joined the Sugpiat Defense team as the Principal Investigator for the National Institutes of Health (N.I.H.) clinical trial which focuses on “Bio_Sole as a Wearable Biosensor That Quantifies Blood Alcohol Concentration in Real Time.” For more information about Dr. Hunt-Watts, visit www.thesoledoc.com
