Sepsis
Friday June 4, 2021 between 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
 
The Registered Nurse Care Consultants (RNCC) with the Office of Integrated Health (OIH) at the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) will be providing a training on Sepsis.
 
This training will define sepsis, the risk factors related to infection, how to recognize the signs and symptoms of sepsis, and how vital signs can indicate there is a problem. What role the direct care staff play in reducing the risk for infections developing into sepsis, and recognizing the need to get help immediately if sepsis is suspected. This training will review all the important aspects of sepsis and how it can impact the overall health of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Attendees will receive a certificate of participation, educational handouts along with the training presentation.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the training. The training will start on time and give a 15 minute grace period then closed to admittance. Attendance for the entire training is required to receive a certificate of participation.
