VALA is hosting and attending regional discussions and receptions at assisted living communities across Virginia to allow assisted legislators and public policy makers to learn about the benefits and importance of senior living as well as opportunities to collaborate to improve public policy and programs. Legislators and policy makers from across the Commonwealth are invited to participate in these events. Residents, family members of residents, staff of senior living communities, community partners, and industry advocates are welcomed to participate. 

We have invited legislators and public officials from the host locality and nearby districts to participate in the discussions. 

These events are free to participants, but all participants must register in advance of the event. Interested legislators and public policy makers may register by contacting Glynis Boyd Hughes at ghughes@valainfo.org.
