On Thursday, January 23, 2020, please join assisted living providers, industry advocates, and residents of local assisted living communities for the Virginia Assisted Living Legislative Day at the Virginia General Assembly. Please help us to educate Virginia's legislators on the benefits and importance of assisted living as a long-term care option in Virginia! Also, please help us to let Virginia's legislators know that SENIORS VOTE TOO! and they want to keep assisted living as a housing option in Virginia.

On Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM, assisted living providers will join with the Virginia Assisted Living Association (VALA) to visit legislators in the Virginia General Assembly Building in Richmond, VA. VALA will assist in scheduling of appointments with legislators and legislative aides based on the availability of participants and legislative contacts. VALA will also arrange to have participants recognized on the House and Senate floors at noon.

All participants are encouraged to participate in an educational conference call on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 1 PM. This conference call will provide information on what to expect at the Virginia General Assembly, and it will provide important information on the legislative bills that pertain to the assisted living industry. Conference call-in information will be provided in a separate e-mail following your registration.
