The State Board of Social Services is a policy board with members appointed by the Governor. Among the areas regulated by the Board are critical assistance programs, including TANF & SNAP. Also under the purview of the Board are child welfare programs, such as CPS, Foster Care & Adoption, as well as licensure of assisted living facilities and child-caring facilities. Child support enforcement is also regulated by the Board. 

This is a meeting of the State Board of Social Services. Please refer to the State Board of Social Services website or the Virginia Town Hall for details on the meeting, including location updates, agenda items, and instructions to submit public comments.

Virginia's senior living industry is facing higher demands by the increasing aging population, and VALA is here to support assisted living providers to survive and to serve the influx of seniors. Educational sessions will be provided on interpersonal skills, productivity, public relations, team building, and more! Educational sessions will be held to offer up to 6 continuing education credits. Meals and a happy hour reception will be provided for all conference participants.
