The membership of the Virginia Assisted Living Association (VALA) is invited to attend the Annual Membership Meeting of the organization. This meeting will be held in conjunction with the Virginia Assisted Living Annual Fall Conference. The Annual Meeting of the members will share important updates regarding VALA operations and focuses and will allow for the election of individuals to serve on the VALA Board of Trustees.

VALA Board of Trustees Election Notice: Below is a slate of candidates to be voted upon at the next VALA Annual Membership Meeting. These candidates are being recommended by the current VALA Board of Trustees to fill vacancies on the VALA Board of Trustees and are not being recommended to run in opposition to another candidate. A ballot will be distributed at the VALA Annual Membership Meeting to vote on these candidates.

  • Robert Goyette, Chief Operations Officer, Harmony Senior Services
  • Alphonso Westley, Regional Director of Operations, Sunrise Senior Living

VALA Facts:
VALA is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to providing advocacy, communication, education, and resources to the assisted living industry in Virginia. Formed in 1996, our members have chosen us to be the unified voice of assisted living in Virginia, and we are the official state affiliate of Argentum (formerly the Assisted Living Federation of America - ALFA).

Our members represent the entire spectrum of the industry: providers of both non-profit and for-profit, and large and small assisted living communities. We also welcome Industry Partners - companies, government agencies, and individuals that provide a service to, or have an interest in, assisted living in Virginia.
